Day 2

9:04 Breakfast this morning was 1 whole egg and 1 egg white, scrambled with Franks Red Hot sauce, some VERY delicious chicken my room mate cooked up, some raw spinach, 12oz coffee with 1tbsp non dairy creamer and 1tsp cinnamon, and 1 glass of grapefruit juice.  Scrambled eggs are my least favorite food.  I eat eggs about 4 times a year, and that’s usually over easy with toast, so this is difficult.

I’m gonna need to find a different way to eat eggs, if I am going to keep them in my breakfast.  The coffee today was much better than yesterday. Actually tolerable. I notice I wind up with a lot of residual cinnamon in the bottom of my cup, so I need to keep stirring. The last 2 days are probably the heartiest breakfasts I have had in years.  I feel full after, and ready to actually do some damage with my day as opposed to lethargic by just skipping breakfast altogether or having a muffin/donut.

12:52 Lunch time!  Having a leftover pepper from last night.  They are so much better on day 2 becuase the flavors have a chance to meld together.  Raw broccoli with a touch of balsamic vinegar, and some raw carrots to round things out.  Didn’t feel like spinach for lunch.  I have a meeting tonight where there will most likely be pizza and buffalo chicken wings, or sub sandwiches.  My first real temptation!  Planning to eat before I go, so that I won’t be as tempted.  Worst case scenario, I’ll snack on some celery/carrots.  Not too worried.

5:21 Dinner time!  Aaron has actually been looking at recipes on 4HourRecipes.  We found a Time-Crunch Skillet Dinner which sounded good, and the name was fitting because we both have a meeting tonight.  He’s in the same boat, and didn’t want to be tempted by the food there, so we decided to eat hearty before we went.  We subbed the chicken for a T-Bone that we trimmed down and chopped up.  Veggies included carrots, broccoli, spinach, green beans, and black beans.  Totally stuffed, had to force the last couple bites in.

Evening Meeting:  Holy hell that was tough.  I started feeling hunger right around 8:30ish, and the pizza and chicken wings walked in the door shortly thereafter.  The smell alone was almost enough to push me over the edge.  I managed to make it through, and got out of there as soon as I could after so I wouldn’t be seeing and smelling it, or I would have been tasting it.  I really need to find something with a hint of “sweet” to take the edge off in the evenings, as I usually snack right around the 8ish mark and since I go to bed at 11ish, I don’t want to eat a lot.  Now that I’m back at home, I’ve done a little rummaging about and realized that I need to find something snacky.  Suggestions?
